THe fairs like Kunda Mela at Pratappur, Kolhua mela at Hunterganj, Kundri Mela at Chatra, Kolhaiya Mela at Chatra, Tutilawa Mela at Simaria and Belgada Mela at Simaria are also few for which there may be a national holiday in jharkhand state calendar. They also observe many festivities namely Karam, Rohin, Sarhul, Bhagta Parab, Hal Punhya, and Tusu Parab.

Jharkhand was partitioned from Bihar since 2000 and Ranchi is its capital. It is also the hometown of famous Indian batsman M S Dhoni. The state of Jharkhand is rich in mineral resources like iron, coal & copper and deserves to be the largest producer in the country. It is also the 3rd largest manufacturer of coal in India. Jamshedpur, Deoghar, Dhanbad are main cities of the state having esteemed educational institutions such as XLRI, IIM Ranchi, National Institute of Technology & Birla Institute of Technology apart from medical colleges. The problem of Naxalite insurgency is the state yet to solve.
