The Amity university is coming up in a state-of-the-art campus with world-class facilities in New Town. Kolkata. It will start its first session m August 2015 and will offer UGC recognised PG & UG degrees in over 15 disciplines. The Amity University Act 2014 (West Bengal Act. XXIV of 2014) has been passed by the Legislative Assembly of West 8engai m 2014. Amity University Kolkata is one more campus in Amity's ever expanding network of globally benchmarked institutions that include 8 Universities. 18 schools & preschoolsand campuses in 10 countries with 125,000 students.

Amity is renowned for setting many benchmarks in higher education. Amity faculty have filed over 570 patents in the last 4 years, which as per the Annual Report of the Control lerGeneraiof Patents, Govt of India, «s the highest number of patents filed by any Indian University.

It is also credited with conducting over 300 Govt, funded and international 'esearch projects, besides developing over 1.000 case studies, bought across 62 countries.

Unique initiatives like these have led to numerous recognitions for Amity. Its university has been recognised as 'India's Best Research University* and has been ranked by OS among Asia's top universities. The Group's institutions of Engineenng, Management. The Search Committee seeks an exceptional academic leader as the Founding Vice Chancellor. The candidate must be a dynamic visionary with a strong background in academic leadership, with an earned Doctorate and vast experience at the helm of a reputed institution. He/she will be expected to shape the overall strategy to achieve global recognition and ranking, will work with deansand senior faculty to assure the quality, relevance and vitality of all instructional programs, and will lead the University in all areas.
