National Insurance is the oldest insurance company in India established in the 1906. National Insurance Company, a Public Sector General Insurance Company with 16000 skilled personnel renders Best-in-Class services through its 1972 offices in India had recorded Rs 10261 Cr Gross Premium in the year 2013-14.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment in the cadre of Assistant. Candidates are requested to apply through only On-Line mode between 12th January, 2015 till 31st January, 2015.

No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

A total no. of 1000 vacancies in various States & Union territories with reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EXS and Persons with Disabilities, would be filled up through online test (to be held on various dates in April 2015) followed by an interview & Computer Proficiency Test of the shortlisted candidates successful in the online test. Minimum age should be 18yrs. as on 30.11.2014 for all candidates and Maximum age as on 30.11.2014 would be as per categories.

Educational Qualification (as on 30.11.2014)

Graduate from a recognized University OR Pass in HSC/Equivalent (XII pass) examination with 60% marks (50% for Ex-servicemen. SOST and Persons with Disabilities); and the candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/ Intermediate/ Graduation level; and Knowledge of Regional Language i.e. Language of the State of Recruitment is essential.

Scale of Pay (Pre-revision): 7640-440(1>-8080-480(2)-9040-$40(S)-11740-625(2>-l2990-7o0(3H5270- 790<2)-16850-840<5>-21050. Total emoluments (Pre-revision) works out to approximately Rs.16000/- per month in the initial stage In a metro city. The salary scales are under revision with effect from August 2012.
