IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING EMPLOYMENT NOTICE NO. 220-E/Open Mkt./RRC/2012 Dt 30.08.12
SUBJECT:- DOCUMENTS CANDIDATURE VERIFICATION AND MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF CANDIDATES OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION HELD ON 27.10.2013, 17.11.2013, 24.11.2013, 01.12.2013 AND 08.12.2013 PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST HELD FROM 22.03.2014 TO 28.03.2014.
1. For filling up of various posts in Pay Band-I, Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-, Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway conducted Written Examinations on the above said dates after which approximately 3 times i.e. a total of 16,890 candidates, arrived after adjusting 3% PWD Posts - 221 and 20% Ex-SM Posts -1473 from the original 7,368 notified vacancies, were Shortlisted for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to fill up the resultant 5,674 (UR-2.666. OBC 1570. SC=910 and ST=528 Total 5.674) vacancies, as per merit of Written Examinations and following extant rules on reservations.
2. Out of 16,890 Candidates shortlisted for PET, a total of 13,989 Candidates qualified in PET and candidates only equal to total vacancies 5,674 + 203 (PWD, 18 Shortfall in HH Category)=5,877 are now being called for Document & Candidature Verification and Medical Examination. Thus, 8.315 Candidates who have qualified both Written Examination and PET are not eligible for next stage.
3. Call Letters for Document Candidature Verification and Medical Examination are being dispatched through Registered Post to all 5,877 Candidates. Details including date of Document & Candidature Verification of all eligible candidates are also available on Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway's website www.rrcnr.org
4. Document & Candidature verification process will be held between 19.05.2014 - 09.06.2014 at five different locations of Northern Railway.
5. All 5,877 Candidates being called for Document & Candidature Verification are hereby informed that they must report for Document Verification on the scheduled Date. Time and Venue as mentioned in the Call Letter, with the following documents and a photocopy of the same: (a) Mark Sheets/Certificates of all Educational/Technical qualification (10th Class and onward): (b) Date of Birth Certificate (10th or Matriculate): (c) Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates issued by competent authority as per prescribed pro-forma (d) Half Portion of Admit Card of written examination and PET: (e) No Objection Certification (NOC) from controlling officer in case of Government servant: (f) Fee Relaxation Certificate, if claimed, (g) Six identical recent passport photographs.
6. In case of non-receipt of Call Letter through Registered POST candidates are advised to report at Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway, Lajpat Nagar-I, New Delhi -110024 on the Date and Time shown below for issue of Duplicates:

7. Candidates may have to stay at Document Verification The Venue for more than a day. He/she should, therefore, come well prepared. No allowances will be paid. Any request for change in Date, Time & Venue will strictly not be entertained.
8. It may be noted that Document Verification is just another stage in the recruitment process. Merely being called for Verification of Documents does not indicate that his/her name will also appear in the final merit list. Candidature may be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment in case of violation of necessary instruction / conditions/eligibility.
9. Candidates called for Document Verification is equal to resultant vacancy only As of now no Extra Candidates is being called for Document Verification. However in case of absenteeism or otherwise rejected during Document Verification similar number of candidates may be called for Document Verification on administrative requirement.
10.Although all precautions have been observed in preparation of results, RRC / Northern Railway reserves the right for correction of errors and omissions, if any. RRC/Northern Railway will not be responsible for printing errors. Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway regrets inability to entertain any correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
