Admission Announcement for the Academic Session 2013-14

Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (Deemed to be University) shall conduct PROFICIENCY (WRITTEN) TESTS for admission to its following Under Graduate programmes/Post Graduate Programme and Diploma/Certificate programmes for the Academic Session 2013-14. Admissions will be made according to merit in the Proficiency (Written) Test, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements and availability of seats in the particular course for which the candidate has applied for and appeared in the Proficiency (Written) Test:

1.      Certificate course in Pali                                                             Duration: 02 Semesters (One Year)

2.      Certificate Course in Chinese & Tibetan                                   Duration: 02 Semesters (One Year)

3.      Diploma Course in Pali, Chinese & Tibetan                               Duration: 04 Semesters (Two Years)

4.      B.A. (Hons.) Pali                                                                            Duration: 06 Semesters (Three Years)

5.       M A. m Pali/Philosophy/Buddhist Studies/Ancient History,Culture & Archaeology/Sanskrit/HindiyEnglish/Tibetan Studies                  Duration: 04 Semesters (Iwo Years)

General Information;

1.      Application form can be obtained from the office of the Registrar, (Publication Counter), Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda-803111, from 08.04.2013 to 08.05.2013. The form can also be downloaded from  website: www.nnmac in.

2.      The form completed in all respect may be submitted latest by 08.05.2013 along with Rs. 500/- for Indian Students and Rs. 1000/- in cash for foreign nationals. Payments may also be made through Demand Draft in favour of the Director. Nava Nalanda Mahavihara. payable at Nalanda.

3.      Foreign Nationals having foreign degrees are exempted from Proficiency (Written) Test.

4.      Date of Proficiency written Test-                from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon

(a)      14.05.2013 (Tuesday) for                       Pali, Sanskrit, English, Hindi Tibetan Studies & Chinese.

(b)      15.05.2013 (Wednesday) for                 Ancient History Culture & Archaeology, Philosophy & Buddhist Studies.

(c)      16.05.2013 (Thursday) for                      Certificate Course in Pali. Chinese. Tibetan.
