The pay-scale for the post of Principal are as prescribed by the UGC. Government of Maharashtra & University of Mumbai from time to time. The required mnimum qualifications for the post of Principal are as fotows :-1. The appointment for Ihe post oi Principal is a tenure post of live years or
tin the age of superannuation whichever is earlier i A Masters Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognised University, ii. A Pb.D. Degree m concemed/a*ed/reievant discipline^) in the aistltution
concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance, iii. Associate Professor/ Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of
teaching/research /administration in Universities. Colleges and other
institutions of higher education, iv. A minimum score of 400 as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator
(API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).
The selected candidate shall be provided with rent-free accommodation or HRA as admissible.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master's level for the Scneduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe-'Differently-abled (Physically and Visually dlfferentiy-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligfrlity marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is tonowed) and trw relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided, Irom 55% lo 50% of the marks to the PhD. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19' September. 1991.
Applicants wtio are already employed must send their application through proper
channel. Applicants are required to account for breaks, if any in their academic
