The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, is implementing a placement linked skill development program called the DDU-GKY - DeenDayalUpadhyayaGrameenKaushalyaYojana (erstwhile known as the Aajeevika Skills Program). DDU-GKY is being implemented through a 3 tier structure wherein MORD stands at top and executes its policy planning, overall coordination and monitoring role. State Rural Livelihoods Mission (SRLM) is the second tier engaged as State Level Implementation Support agencies. On the other hand, the third tier is the external organizations (Corporates, Societies, NGOs, Private Skill Training providers), work as Project Implementation Agencies (PIAs) serve their role as skill trainer and placement providers. Jharkhand State Livelihoods Promotion Society (JSLPS) is the SRLM designated by the Government of Jharkhand for implementing National Rural Livelihoods Mission. As being SRLM of the state, the Society is also nodal agency for implementing DDU-GKY. For effective implementation of DDU-GKY, JSLPS is looking for some dynamic professionals for state level unit. JSLPS, under the aegis of Rural Development Department, Government of Jharkhand is an autonomous society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. JSLPS is mandated to promote livelihoods amongst disadvantaged communities across the state to reduce the rural poverty. Over the years, the Society has brought in innovative strategies and interventions for the promotion of livelihoods of rural poor in Jharkhand.
