Call for nomination for Vice-Chancellor, Kalyani University, West Bengal
The Kalyani University is a premier University in the state of West Bengal and recognized under section 2(0 & 12(b) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. A Search Committee constituted by the Hon'ble Chancellor and H.E. Governor of West Bengal for Ihe appointment of Vice-Chancellor of Kalyani University is seeking nominations, with the intent to widen the search process, from eminent academicians of repute for consideration for (he said position. Persons with proven track record and a commitment to nurtunng and promoting excellence in teaching and research in the University, with competence and integrity and having a minimum of ten years of experience in a University system of which at least five years shall be as a Professor or ten years of experience in a reputed research or academic-administrative organization of which at least five years shall be in an equivalent position of Professor can be nominated. Present and former vice-Chancellors. Director / Head of Institutions of Higher Learning / Research Institutions and eminent scholarly persons are invited to nominate.
The nominations along with the nominees' detailed curriculum vitao chould be sent by e-mail to kuvcsearch@gmail.com. However, in addition to the soft copy an additional hard copy of the nomination along with all supporting documents may also be sent in a sealed envelope dearly marked "Nomination for Vice-Chancellor's position" addressed to the Registrar (Officiating), Kalyani University. P.O. Kalyani - 741 235, Nadia, West Bengal, India on or before 21st September, 2016 by 4.00 p.m. The search Committee reserves the right to consider persons of eminence ouside the list of such nominations. In accordance with the procedure evolved by the committee, nominees would be shortlisted based on agreed parameters. No self nominations/applications will be accepted.
