ADVERTISEMENT FOR CALLING APPLICATION FOR SELECTION OF MANAGING DIRECTOR, ASSAM STATE INFRASTURCTURE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LTD.
The Assam Slate Infrasluclure Development Corporation Ltd. (ASIDCL). a newly incorporated Government of Assam Company under the Companies Act. 2013 with the Administrative control of the State Public Works Roads Department (PWRD), is mandated for execution /development of infrastructure projects/ schemes of the State. The Company is expected to commence its business shortly. The Slate Government now intended to recruit a competent person as the Chief Executive Officer to be posted as Managing Director (MD) of the Company to perform his duties & responsibilities under supervision & control of the Board of Directors and the State Government. He will be responsible for efficient functioning of the Company for achieving set corporate objectives/ goals and performance parameters.
Applications are invited from the eligible Indian citizen having Bachelor Degree in any discipline from the UGC/ AICTE recognized University/ Institution. The candidate must have minimum 20 (twenty) years working experiences of which atleast 10 (ten) years should be at very senior level officer in the rank of Secretary and /or Additional Chief Engineer & above in any Technical Department/ Organisation of the State Government in execution of construction of various multi-type and multidimensional Roads / Bridges / Buildings project management in any technical Department/ Organisation of the Government. Person having additional Technical/ MBA qualifications with adequate knowledge & expertise in overall management of a body corporate, familiar with corporate finance, accounts & auditing of Government organisation on construction industry is desirable and will be given due advantage. The minimum age of the candidate should be 45 (forty five) years & above on the date of Advertisement published in the News Paper / Website of the Government PWRD and must have at least one year serv ice period before superannuation age as that of the State Government employee. Persons working in other Public / Private sector organisation fulfilling with the above staled eligibility criteria may also apply with No Objection Certificate from the employer. The service conditions of the incumbent shall be governed by the terms of the existing State Government Rules. The tenure of the post of Managing Director of ASIDCL is for a period of 3 (Three) years with provisions for extension if the incumbent found suitable / competent by the Government subject to the approval of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) and within the provisions of the Companies Act. 2013.
The post will carry the pay band, grade pay. other allowances and perks equivalent to the post of the Secretary to the Govt, of Assam or Chief Engineer of PWRD to be fixed by the Government on recommendation of the PESB according to suitability of the candidate. Pay protection will be granted to the deserving candidate subject to submission of last pay certificate from the present employer. The candidate is to submit neatly typed application in State Government Standard Form with self attested copies of all certificates /testimonials in support of educational /professional qualifications, date of birth & present age. job experiences with pay drawn etc. Candidate working in Government /semi-Govemmeni /autonomous body-PSU etc. must apply through their present employer. application shall be received / entertained under any circumslances after the stipulated time and date. Incomplete application shall be liable for rejection without specifying any reasons.
The Government /PSEB shall reserve the right lo shorlist the candidates to call for interview. Applicants canvassing directly or indirectly in favour of self candidature shall summarily be rejected even though the applicant fulfilled all requirements. Selected candidate shall have to take over charge of MD within 30 (thirty) days from the date of issue of the appointment letter failing which the appointment will stands cancelled automatically unless submission of any valid reason and accepted by the appointing authority.
