Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Assistant in the following research project funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Department of Science and Technology (DST). Govt, of India, under the supervision of Dr. Nitish Kumar, (Principle Investigator), Assistant Professor. Centre for Biological Sciences (Biotechnology), School of Earth Biological and Environmental Sciences, Central University of Bihar, Patna-800014. Bihar.
Title of the Research Project: Molecular Characterization of Genetic Diversity in Makhana (Euryale ferox Salisbury)
Qualification required: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Agriculture/Botany/Life Science/ Plant Breeding/Genetics from recognised university with a valid NET/GATE score. However candidates with CSIR-UGC-NET (LS) will be given preference. Hands on experience in Plant Molecular Biology is desirable.
Fellowship:
Rs. 16000 per month + HRA (first two years)
Rs. 18000 per month + HRA (after two years)
OR
Rs. 12000 per month + HRA (first two years)
Rs. 14000 per month + HRA (after two years)
Age Limit: Must not be over 28 years as on February 15, 2014 which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms..
General Terms and Conditions: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is coterminous with the project.
