Education Specialist
Location: Patna (Bihar)               Closing Date: 3 December 2013

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager, the incumbent will be accountable for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of Education programme(s) to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the programme management, delivery and accomplishment of programme goals and objectives. Across the Education programme(s), he/she will be accountable for identifying gender inequalities in education, and for developing innovative approaches and programmes to eliminating these inequalities. The incumbent will be required to collaborate across the programme(s) to ensure gender mainstreaming and ensure that monitoring mechanisms are in place to track progress towards disparity reduction goals and targets in Education. Qualifications: Master's degree from a recognized university in Education. Social Sciences of Child Development or other fields related to the work of UNICEF. Experience: Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in field programmes relevant to Education or Social Development Programmes, Project Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation.
Communication Specialist
Location: Jaipur (Rajasthan)            Closing Date: 3 December 2013
Under the direct supervision of Chief of Field Office, the incumbent will be responsible for building partnerships, advocating and influencing the policy, planning, implementation, monitoring of programme for promoting the attainment of rights of children, for an assigned programme or specific projects in the state. He/She will work at the state and district level while acquiring sector specific guidance from the Chief of Advocacy and Partnership Section in New Delhi.
Qualifications: Master's degree from a recognized university in Social Sciences, Communications, Journalism, Public relations or other fields related area to the work of UNICEF.
Experience: Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in social sector related to child rights at state, district and community level in the field of advocacy, information and communication through senior level officials, elected representatives, media agencies, corporates and civil society partners.
Nutrition Officer
Location: Lucknow(UP)               Closing Date: 3 December 2013
Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible to contribute to the overall effort of country programme implementation at state level within the framework of ICDS and micronutrients programmes under health and education. He/She will be responsible for extending technical assistance in planning, implementing and monitoring of high impact interventions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Public Health and Nutrition, Health Sciences, International Health and Nutrition, Family and Community Health and Nutrition, Nutritional Epidemiology, Health and Nutrition Education, Health and Nutrition Promotion and Disease Prevention, Public Health Preparedness, Health Emergency Preparedness or other relevant discipline(s).
Experience: Minimum two years of progressively responsible professional work experience in project administration, monitoring and evaluation of Child Development and Nutrition Programmes at state/national level.
Communication for Development Officer
Location: Ranchi (Jharkhand) Closing Date: 3 December 2013 Under the direct supervision of the Chief
of Field Office, theincumbentwill be responsible for the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic communication for behaviour and community-led social change to contribute to the achievement of Intermediate Results in various programmatic areas such as child survival and development and child protection. He/She will be required to design and implement interventions to build capacity and strengthen the government systems in communication planning and documentation.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Social/Behavioural Sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health Education) with emphasis on strategic communication planning for behaviour development, social mobilization, participatory communication and research..
Experience: Minimum two years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the planning and management of social development programmes, including work experience in developing countries, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning, processes to specific programmes.
