Ignou B.Ed Admission January 2018 – The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to its distance learning Bachelor of Education course every year during the January session.
It is offered under School of Education(SOE) and it is recognised by NCTE. The programme structure is as per NCTE B.Ed. Curriculum Framework-2014.
Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi
Programme Duration: The minimum duration to complete all the required courses of B.Ed is 2 years. However, it can be completed in a maximum duration of five years.
Ignou B.Ed Admission Fee: The candidate taking admission to this course need to pay the total fee of Rs. 50,000/- during the admission process. (Note: It is advised to check the B.Ed prospectus for current year to avoid any discrepancy in fee structure.)
Important Note: The candidates should not pay the programme fee at the time of submitting admission cum entrance application form. The fee has to be paid only after passing out the entrance test. The applicants will get a separate communication for admission and payment of fee after B.Ed entrance result will be declared.
Programme Objective: It has been introduced with the aim to develop the understanding and competencies among the learners which is very much required by teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage. It can also help practising teachers in understanding the nature of the student and of learning processes.
Every year, the university invites the application from all the eligible students to apply for Ignou B.Ed admission. The advertisement is published mostly in the month of July in the local newspapers and also on the university official website.
The university conducts the Ignou B.Ed entrance test for admission to this programme every year in the month of September.The last date to submit filled-in application form to the concerned Regional Centre can be checked from the advertisement.
