Appointment of Director
1).Applications are invited, for appointment to the post of Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara. The Director of a HIT being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to have proven administrative, teaching and research background (including significant experience in research guidance at the Ph.D. level) with the leadership qualities to head such an Institute. The candidate/ person should be a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with an outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience as a Professor in a reputed Educational Institute (may be relaxed in case of an outstanding candidate). The candidate should preferably have experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) areas. Applicant should preferably not be more than 60 years of age. The post carries a fixed pay of Rs.75,000/- plus a special pay of Rs.5000/- per month with usual allowances.
2).lndian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara is an autonomous Institution established in PPP more, with participation from the Central Government, the Gujarat State Government, and 3 industry partners. The Institute admitted its first batch of students in 2013 and is operating from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, at present. The first Director of the Institute is being appointed. The post of Director will be governed by the Memorandum of Association, Rule & Bye-laws of MIT Vadodara Society. The Director will be appointed after obtaining the approval of the Competent Authority based on the recommendations made by the Search-cum-Selection Committee. The Search-cum-Selection Committee will consider applications received in response to this advertisement, as well as nominations received from eminent persons. The appointment will be on contractual basis for a period of five years or till the attainment of 70 years, whichever is earlier, as per usual terms and conditions of centrally funded Institutions
