Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) for (Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)) at Pusa, New Delhi will hold a Competitive ARS Examination – 2016 Preliminary Examination in combination with National Eligibility Test (NET) - 2017 for filling up the vacancies of 180 Scientists (UR-100, OBC-46, SC-21, ST-13, PWD-2) posts in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the pay scale of ₹ 15600-39100 grade pay ₹ 6000 in the ICAR Institutes in various disciplines :
NET Examination is conducted for being eligible for the positions of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in State Agricultural Universities / Agricultural Universities.

Online Preliminary Examination for ARS - 2016 combined with NET - 2017 (I) from 16/05/2017 to 21/05/2017 and Main Examination for ARS 2016 will be held on 08/07/2017 only.
Age :
A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01/01/2017. For Net - 21 years as on 01/01/2017 (no upper age limit)
Qualification :
A candidate must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject.

₹500/- for ARS - 2016 (No fee for SC/ST/PWD/Women exempted) and ₹1000/- for NET 2017 (₹ 250/- for SC/ST/PWD) (No fee from Women candidates) ₹1500/- for both ARS and NET examination (₹ 250/- for both examination for SC/ST/PWD) (No fee from Women)
