SRM University AP-Amaravati seeks appointment of HoDs and Faculty
SRM has the ambitious plan to build and create a new research intensive university in Amaravati, the people's capital of Andhra Pradesh, India. Envisioned to be a university of world class standards, SRM University, AP -Amaravati, is to be a globally connected and regionally transformative centre for research and education at the heart of the new Amaravati City of Knowledge - a modern, vibrant metropolis within the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
SRM University - AP, Amaravati, will strike collaborations with top-notch institutions in the world and draw on SRM's experience of having established the highly ranked SRM University, Chennai, which has over 40,000 students and a 2,700 strong faculty. The learning and living spaces in SRM University - AP, Amaravati, will be designed by Perkins+Will, USA, who have been the architects of leading universities in the world. SRM University - AP, Amaravati, is now seeking to appoint ambitious and accomplished academics to the faculty positions for various departments and subjects.
Faculty Positions: HoDs, Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors
Departments/Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Biotechnology, Engineering Practice, Workshop Practice, and Environmental Science.
Candidates must have a strong track record of research, high quality publications and design and delivery of academic programs. For the Head of Department role, candidates must also have demonstrated academic leadership and ability to motivate and mentor faculty members. Candidates from lISc, IITs, National Laboratories and foreign nationals and NRIs from reputed international institutions would have an advantage.
SRM would provide a stimulating and inspiring environment with a liberal research startup grant up to INR 50 lakhs, sponsored overseas conferences, opportunities for collaborative research within India and abroad, balanced teaching hours to focus on research, performance based incentives and IP rights. In addition, accommodation will be provided in campus or nearby.
Salary is not a constraint for outstanding candidate. It ranges from INR 18 to 36 lakhs per annum commensurate with the candidate's experience and achievements. Medical cover, gratuity and provident fund will be provided.
