GAIL (India) Limited, is a Maharatna PSU and India's flagship Natural Gas Company, integrating all aspects ot the Natural Gas value chain (including Exploration & Production, Processing, Transmission, Distribution and Marketing) and its related services. GAIL is also expanding its business to become a player in the International Market. Presently, GAIL is an equity participant in 30 E&P blocks (including 02 overseas blocks) as a consortium partner with national and international Oil & Gas majors and is poised to grow further. GAIL (India) limited, is looking for experienced professionals in the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) having requisite qualifications/experience as mentioned below tor providing Advisory services for HSE:
Post: ADVISOR (HSE)
Qualification & Experience: The candidate should have minimum Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Discipline from an institution of repute. Post Graduate diploma in Industnal Safety is desirable MalnTasks:
1. To advise and assist HSE Department in reviewing the existing policies, guidelines and procedures and framing new policies, guidelines and procedures wherever required as per best international practices
2. To advise and assist HSE Department on Parliamentary/ Government/ Ministry related matters and liaison with them wherever required
3. To advise and assist HSE Department in incident/ accident investigation
4. To visit GAIL installations to overview their emergency preparedness and implementation of HSE Management System
5. To advise and assist HSE Department in improving the HSE Management System in GAIL
Experience:
1. The applicant should possess minimum 25 years of Post Qualification experience in large Oil & Gas/ Refinery/Hydrocarbon Industry In Public/ Government/ Private listed organization.
2. The applicant should have worked at least for 02 years in Senior Management position in O&M/ HSE functions in the above organizations.
3. The applicant should have knowledge of various National/ International Standards applicable to above industries related to Health. Safety & Environment.
4. It is desirable that the applicant should be conversant with the design and O&M aspects of Fire Protection and Fire Fighting Systems.
Maximum Age Limit: Maximum 65 years as on
01.08.2014
The engagement of Advisor will be on part time
contract basis.
In addition to above, candidates may also be
considered for being empanelled as Safety Experts
on call basis, for getting an independent view / expert
opinion during HSE Sub-Committee meetings and
other important meetings/ occasions as considered
appropriate by HSE Department.
