Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission invites an application for Deputy Director, Staff Consultant, Accounts Assistant & Peon

The Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission has been established by the Government of Bihar under Section 17 of the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act,1998 vide Government of BiharNotification no. 1284 dated 15th April, 2002.The Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 along with the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 and Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 was repealed by Section 185 of the Electricity Act, 2003.The first proviso of Section 82 (1) has ensured continuity of the Commission along with that of State Electricity Regulatory Commissions by laying down that the State Regulatory Commission established by the State Govt. under Section 17 of Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998, and functioning as such immediately before the appointed date shall be the State Commission for the purpose of the Electricity Act, 2003.

Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission is inviting applications from indian citizens for recruiting following posts:

1. Deputy Director-01
2. Staff Consultant-01
3. Accounts Assistant-01
4. Peon-08

Age Limits:Candidates upper age limit for direct appointment is 37 years for UR (Male), 40 years for UR (Female) and BC/EBC and 42 years for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit for retired employees is 63 years. Cut off date for determining age limit is 01-01-2014. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on performance in Test/Interview/Personal Talk.

Qualification:Candidates must possess Graduation in Electrical/ Power Engg for Post 1, Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical) for Post 2, Commerce Graduation for Post 3 and Passed in 10th (Matric) or equivalent for Post 4 with relevant experience.
