RECRUITMENT OF HEAD CONSTABLE (ASSISTANT WIRELESS OPERATOR/TELE-PRINTER OPERATOR) AND HEAD CONSTABLE [MINISTERIAL) IN DELHI POLICE-2013

Applications from Indian nationals are Invited to fill up the following vacancies to the posts of Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator) and Head Constable (Ministerial) In Delhi Police In the pay scale of ^ 5200-20200 In Pay Band 1 with Grade Pay of ? 2400 & other allowances as admissible:-

• Head Constable (AWO/TPO)
• Head Constable (Ministerial)

10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen as per Govt, of India's instructions. Note:- The personnel of Central Para Military Forces are not eligible to apply under Ex-Servicemen category

The recruitment will be held at Delhi for which candidates from all parts of the country fulfilling the following conditions can apply:-

(1) HEAD CONSTABLE (ASSTT. WIRELESS OPERATOR/TELE-PRINTER OPERATOR)

Age	18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2013 [Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ ST-05 years, OBC-03years, Sportsmen/Sportswomen (UR/OBC-05 years & SC/ST-10 years)]. Age concession to departmental/Ex-servicemen, widow/  divorced  women/judicially  separated  women  who  are  not re-married, as per rules.
Educational Qualification	Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics as subjects at the time of filling up of the application form. OR National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-cum-operator Electronic Communication System
Professional Attainments	Speed in English typing on computer 30 w.p.m. alongwith working knowledge of computers.
Physical standards	Male candidates	Height	170 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas and sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.
		Chest	81-85 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas and sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.
	Female candidates	Heiqht	157 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas and daughters of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.
(2) HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL)
Age	18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2013 [Relaxation in upper age limitforSC/ST-05 years, OBC-03 years, Sportsmen/Sportswomen (UR/OBC-05 years & SC/ST-10 years)].  Age  concession  to  departmental/Ex-servicemen, widow/divorced  women/judicially  separated   women   who  are   not re-married, as per rules.
Educational Qualification	12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board at the time of filling up of application form.
Professional Attainments	Speed in English typing on computer 30 w.p.m. OR Speed in Hindi typing on computer 25 w.p.m.
Preference	Working knowledge of Accounts and Office Procedure.
Physical standards	Male candidates	Height	165 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas, ST candidates and sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.
		Chest	78-82 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas, ST candidates and sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.
	Female candidates	Heiqht	157 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for residents of hill areas, SC/ST candidates and daughters of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION FORMS: Application forms can be obtained in any one of

the following ways:-

Offline:

(a)         Application forms printed in the Employment News dated 26.01.2013.

(b)         Typed/photocopied application forms on A4 size paper, strictly as per format published in the Employment News.

(c)        Downloadable application forms on the website of Delhi Police.

The application form should be sent through ordinary post at Post Box No. 8020, Delhi-110033. The application fee would be ?100/- (in the form of demand/bank draft/banker's cheque) drawn in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi and should be valid for 3 months. The application fee for SC/ST and ex-serviceman candidates is exempted, however they will have to attach photocopy of caste certificate/discharge certificate/N.O.C. alongwith the application form, duly attested by a serving Gazetted Officer.
